Laguna Beach and its surrounding coastal areas are part of what is called the Mediterranean biome, characterized by mild winters, hot dry summers, and moisture-laden oceanic breezes. This particular biome, or community of flora and fauna, is quite rare: it occurs only five places on the planet.

In this large-format, heavy-stock coloring book, over forty of our region's most iconic plants and animals are highlighted. These include the majestic California grizzly bear, which is now extinct, and the Laguna Live-forever, a rare and endangered succulent that is endemic to this area.  A glossary is included for educational purposes.

Notebook binding allows pages to be removed for framing.  13.4 x 9.6 x 0.5 inches
