ART - FOOD - OBJECTS

Welcome to DIRTY ERASER, where our ethos is a courageous exploration of creativity and an invitation to play. A vibrant, soulful world where Josephine Z. Situ embodies the pure creative muse - blurring the lines between art, food, and sacred, wearable objects.

Raised in the heart of Chinatown, Los Angeles during the 1990s and shaped by the subcultures of the early 2000s, Jo made zines filled with artwork and poetry as a daily practice. A dirty eraser was a symbol of a day well lived, and thus the concept of DIRTY ERASER was born in 2001. Since then, everything that Jo makes reflects her heightened experience of life — one rich with memory, color, flavor, and feeling.

Her work spans mediums but speaks one language: communion. Each creation by Jo, whether it is on paper, inside a bowl, or on your body, is designed to connect you to your truest and most essential self.
